Migraine and Reiki

Today is my first migraine-free day. I kept getting these headaches since a week ago. The pain on my head I could bear, but the nauseated feeling is the worse thing to have. My GP told me not to wait and take medicine as soon as I feel it's coming. In Ramadan, where I cannot eat and drink during the day, I often had to wait until it was obviously getting worse. And when it did get worse, it was too late... medicine didn't really help.

The worst migraine I had last week was on Saturday. We were invited to pengajian 20 min away from Zurich. After dinner, I got one, but unfortunatelly I didn't have my medicine with me. Shoganai ja.... We couldn't stay for the evening prayer and taraweh. Michael insisted me to leave (thanks honey). It was such an attack that I couldn't even sleep and rest. My only hope that time was my friend Ade. I called her and asked wheter she could do reiki for me... I was lucky that she was at home. She did it and it worked. Thanks Ade!

I have heard and even joined Reiki a couple years ago, but I forgot all stuffs about it. I am thinking of practicing my Reiki again. Thanks to Ade, I have now an alternative way to ease this pain. I don't want to take the pain killer every time the attack comes, especially now that we are planning our second child.
