How to choose your baby's gender

We are planning our next child. This time we wish to get a girl. I have heard something about the tricks how to get baby girl and baby boy, but didn't know exactly how it would work. Honestly, we were kinda lack of hope that we would get a girl. The reason is that in Michi's family, no one ever got a baby girl. Michael only has brothers and male cousins. From my side, there are plenty of girls. But the thing is that the man determines the sex of the baby not us. Well, of course God decides... The men have the sperms carying Y chromosome which compete with the ones carying X chromosome.

Anyway, I tried to find more information about the tricks I mentioned above. And I came up with a name: Dr. Shettles. Dr. Shettles wrote a book called : "How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby". He published a groundbreaking report on the different characteristics of Y and X-bearing sperms. His methods look so simple and made scientific sense :D
So, we decided to give a try. It would be fun! We'll give our best shot, God decides.....
